Hi to everyone not at the retreat (and at the retreat) this summer
I thought you might like to read this note from Justina. She sent it a few days after this summer's retreat.

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to send an email to everyone, particularly those I didn't get to see this summer, and let you all know that we had a cosmically awesome retreat this summer at the Ranch.  We stayed at "RO" (aka the old Ranch Office) in what used to be the old Office of the President building and the old Business Office building.  At the retreat someone mentioned that it's hard when you don't go to a retreat and you sort of know it has happened but no one really talks about it afterwards.  So I'm here to say that it did happen and it was the best KLF retreat I've ever been to (and I've been to all but 1, if that means anything).  We had a wonderful time getting to know everyone (there were about 22 of us in attendance) and spend a lot of time laughing and sharing and learning Spanish and having fun and studying the Teachings together.  The houses we stayed in had been recently renovated by the Church to be vacation rental homes and were beautiful to stay in.  We hiked up to the waterfall at Pine Creek which is south of Livingston (about a 30-40 minute drive from the Ranch) and performed some service work by helping out around Headquarters.  I really enjoyed helping to clean the cafeteria.  I never realized just how much I love cleaning things!!!  I think one of the main highlights of the retreat for me was a discussion where we decided as a group that we really wanted to focus more on studying the Teachings.  As part of the retreat we had a few sessions studying the "Alchemy of the Heart" pocketbook.  I think we all really enjoyed the simple teachings that the book has to offer and the ability to share our hopes and dreams and struggles in an accepting environment.  (It's a great book for those of you who have never read it.)  My gratitude goes to the leadership team (past and present) and the others involved in making the retreat a God-success!

To all of you who were at the retreat, it was wonderful getting to know you all better and spending some fun and spiritual time together.  I look forward to seeing you again soon!  Maybe the rest of you would like to share your highlights/thoughts of the retreat too!

To all of you who were not at the retreat this summer, I encourage you to consider attending the next retreat at New Years in Texas, or even better,
come to next summer's KLF Retreat in Montana as we help The Summit Lighthouse celebrate its 50 year anniversary!!!  There are plans in the works for how KLF members can help the Church next summer at the conference, etc. and I'm sure you'll all be hearing about that in the near future.
